Decide’s first Steering Group meeting: lift off!

17th December: our first milestone!

The first Steering Group meeting of the Decide – Health Decision Hub was held on Tuesday 17th December and gathered its member organizations for the first time!

A meeting of visions, perspectives and commitment to bolster the global network for value for money in health, this first of a king “board meeting” was an opportunity to present the complementary strengths of the Decide member organizations.

Representatives of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation (HOPE), the International Network of Agencies for HTA (INAHTA), and the World Health Organization (WHO) presided over the design and structuring of both the strategy of the network and its programme of activities.

Committed to better, evidence-based decisions in health through data, analytics and knowledge, Decide can rely on its members to bring a continuum of expertise spanning the spectrum of priority setting, benefit package, HTA, capital investment, contracting and predictive modelling.

In sum, thanks to the unparalleled wealth of knowledge and capabilities brought by its member organizations, Decide is equipped to bolster value for money in health through evidence across the breadth and depth of health systems strengthening. Collaborations, product design and knowledge coproduction are under way!

Stay tuned to the Decide Web platform for regular updates on the workstream of the hub and its innovative collaborations, such as the working groups on transferability of Cost-effectiveness data across settings (CEDAS), Capital investment in health (CIH) or the hosting of CMCC and CAPACITI to reach across health sciences. The end goal? Practical, operational products for decision makers in health to secure value for money.
